Currently, the main power of LED bulbs on the market is between 3W and 9W. In the consumer market, 3W and 5W bulbs sell best, while 8W and 12W bulbs are more common in engineering channels. Regarding price, 3W LED bulbs range from 3.5 yuan to 25 yuan. Different prices naturally indicate different quality. So, which price is most acceptable to consumers? Do consumers prefer lower-priced LED bulbs?

Statistics show that 3W LED bulbs priced around 13 yuan are more acceptable to consumers, while those around 10 yuan sell best. It seems that lower prices are not always better. Most consumers are quite rational, seeking the highest cost-performance ratio. They worry about poor quality at very low prices. LED bulbs priced around 3 yuan on the market generally use plastic shells with virtually no heat dissipation. They use domestically produced LED chips, which are unstable and typically last only about six months. These products are mostly manufactured by small LED light manufacturers and are therefore not the first choice for consumers. Every consumer wants to buy products at the lowest possible price while ensuring quality. Therefore, if LED bulbs can be priced below 10 yuan while maintaining quality, consumers will find them more acceptable, leading to better sales. Conversely, consumers are less likely to accept products that are too expensive.

Furthermore, brand awareness plays a crucial role. If a brand is reputable, a slightly higher price is more acceptable, as it guarantees quality and provides peace of mind. Therefore, LED light manufacturers are striving to build their own brands, including LED lamp producers. Given the limited number of brands in the current LED light market, they are actively establishing their own brands, offering competitive prices and reliable quality to ensure consumer confidence and safety.

A random inspection revealed that 50% of LED bulbs failed quality tests. According to a report from the Guangzhou Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, the Guangzhou Municipal Institute of Quality Supervision and Inspection recently conducted a sampling inspection of 30 LED bulb products from 18 companies sold in Guangzhou. The inspection found that 15 samples passed all tests, while the remaining 15 samples were deemed unqualified, resulting in a failure rate of 50%. Among the products found to be substandard, MLS LED bulbs (warm white), Shangjin LED bulbs (energy-saving 6W), and Suori 2U electronic energy-saving bulbs (chrysanthemum series, ultra-bright) are listed, along with products from well-known manufacturers such as Ouyida Technology, Resno Lighting, and Jindian Lighting Electric Factory.

It is understood that the main reasons for the substandard LED bulbs in this spot check were unclear or incomplete labeling of rated voltage, rated frequency, and usage limitations, which could easily lead to safety hazards during installation and use. Furthermore, seven bulbs failed to meet the requirements for insulation resistance and dielectric strength after being subjected to moisture treatment, and even broke down in the dielectric strength test. This may be due to the use of poor-quality insulation materials, posing a safety threat to consumers' lives and property.
